Specialisation: emulsion paints, hot wax

Born in Dorset Vicki moved to Stamford in 1997, with her husband and baby daughter. Having always enjoyed doing artwork as a hobby, art now took a backseat while she focused on motherhood. When her daughter started school, Vicki, aged 36yrs, decided to enrol in college, and for the first time formally studied art. In 2006 she gained a Fine Art Degree. In the same year she also won 'Overall Best In Show' at the 7th South Holland Open Arts Competition, with her painting 'Puddles'.

Vkki is now divorced and works as a teaching assistant in a local primary school. In her spare time she paints both Realistic and Expressive Portraits and enjoys
exploring how she can use unconventional painting mediums such as emulsion paints and hot wax.

Vicki's aim is to produce paintings that have a 'solid' and realistic look whilst also having a painterly finish. Her Expressive Portraits aim to portray the private internal thoughts of the 'alone' person. This is something that Vicki believes everyone can connect with as we are all ultimately alone.

Vicki is happy to accept commissions and hopes the website she is currently designing will help to attract new clients and interesting painting opportunities.
